STRATEGIC SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT (M/F/D)

Your tasks - your area of responsibility:
- Lead continuous improvement programs for suppliers’ performance on their manufacturing processes, striving for “zero defects.”
- Drive initiatives with suppliers to achieve sustainable improvements, resulting in cost savings and/or avoidance.
- Support root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions for major non-conformities in products and services at suppliers.
- Identify opportunities for quality and cost improvements.
- Monitor supplier performance KPIs, analyze manufacturing processes, quality records, complaints, and other data sources.
- You will collaborate closely with purchasing, manufacturing, quality, and R&D department to ensure continuous improvement of products, services, and processes to meet quality and cost requirements at suppliers.
- Conduct process audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure implementation of improvement actions.
- Provide technical support for supplier selection according to category and/or sourcing strategy initiatives.
- Offer technical guidance and expertise internally and to suppliers regarding manufacturing processes, quality methods, and techniques.
Your experience - we should get to know each other if you have the following qualifications:
- An academical degree in metallurgical, materials, chemicals or mechanical engineering or a corresponding education
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Experienced with various manufacturing processes for fasteners (e.g., surface treatment, heat treatment, wire drawing, cold forming).
- Familiar with automotive and construction industry standards.
- 6 Sigma/Lean project skills are highly desirable.
- Excellent data visualization and analytics skills.
- Several years of experience in leading supplier development programs.
- Extensive experience in quality management and methods.
- Proven experience in performing supplier audits based on VDA 6.3.
- Strong negotiation, decision-making, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and task forces.
- Possess intercultural competence and willingness to travel.
